About Me:
One of my earliest memories is watching my mom tole paint, back in the 80s when that was a very hip thing to do. My dad is deeply artistic and turned that talent into an undergrad in landscape architecture. From them, I got my creative nature, which was always encouraged. I started scrapbooking in my teens. My mom made a deal with me that she would buy the supplies if I would do the actual scrapbooking. Sadly, she doesn't buy my supplies anymore (darn it!), but I've been scrapbooking since 1997.

I dive into new mediums. I end up getting addicted and wanting to know everything. Sewing dresses for my little girl, for instance, stemmed from watching tons of Project Runway and led to learning the basics of pattern making. I'm obsessive like that. So, I know a little about a lot and a lot about a few things, and that is why this blog is all over the map in terms of the crafty things I do.

I recently finished a degree in English and Communications. My husband and I have started participating in our local community theater (if you're in Utah, email me and I'll let you know the show dates!). I work at a great website company doing page layouts for bed and breakfast websites. I'm a chronic over-sharer and fond of hyperbole.

About The Blog:
I started Craftastical in 2005, as a way to share family photos and keep a sort of journal of our family life (back then, it had a way dumber name). I was on a bunch of scrapbooking design teams and I loved having a way to not only share my layouts, but also get some good material when I went to journal my layouts. Since then, I've learned how to make my own digital scrapbooking kits, and I've started sharing more of what I love to do on the blog.

Right now, the blog features:

Free digital scrapbooking kits.
Tutorials on all sorts of things (give me a suggestion--I might use it!).
Pictures of crafts and a few pattern reviews.
Lots of pictures of my children.

Terms of use on my digital kits is fairly open. Please give me credit and link to my blog if you use them commercially.
