Coordination

Poor guy wants to be so independent. He's always been that way, but since he turned 3 it's gotten worse. I try to let him do what he wants, but sometimes it's not possible. Today we went for a follow-up appointment for Griffin and he kept telling me he wanted to do up his seat belt by himself. He's not strong enough to do it. But I let him try, then I helped him out a little. He started crying, "Don't help me. I want to do it by myself." So I told him, "I'm sorry, buddy, but you need more coordination to do it by yourself." As I'm driving off, I hear him in the back seat crying, "I want more coordination. I want more coordination." Oh my gosh, I was laughing all the way home! I was impressed he could even say "coordination"!
